Inframe® PVC-U Windows are made to order and can be single or double glazed and are very easy to install. Our “Inline Reveal” makes it ideal for window replacement. Inframe products are tested to Australian Standards and we are members of the Australian Window Association(AWA) and Window Energy Rating Scheme (WERS) The Inframe® Awning / Casement Window range is one of the highest Star efficiency rated products available in Australia today!

About Us
Inframe® was set up with the aim to provide architects, developers, builders and home owners with an option to specify and select energy efficient, affordable, Australian designed and made PVC Windows & Doors. Most of our products are designed “in-house” combining local experience and the worldwide resources and experience of our partner Veka AG®. With their 12 subsidiaries spread over three continents, VEKA AG® is a global leader in the supply of synthetic profiles for windows and doors since the early 1950’s. The Inframe–Veka products are designed especially for the harsh Australian climate and suit the Australian construction methods. Wind mould, reveal lining, flashing and internal fly screen rebates are testament to the commitment from both Inframe® and Veka AG® to the Australian Market. Our broad range of typical “Australian style” Windows & Doors are manufactured in Melbourne using high tech machinery so quality can be assured. Intelligent software solutions combined with efficient production processes means we are able to manufacture quickly to your sizes and specifications. Quotations are usually done within 24 Hours so do not hesitate to check us out! Windows and Doors arrive on site as finished products. High quality hardware has been factory fitted and our design allows easy installation by trades people on site.
We aim to factory glaze our products but if site glazing is required, glazing is done from the inside therefore reducing the need for expensive scaffolding outside. Another feature is our colour range. We provide a range of colours which are applied, tested and warranted under the “procote”® system. High gloss paint finish is available in metallic or plain on just the outside with white to the inside or fully sprayed both inside and outside. PVC is almost a maintenance free product designed with a life span larger than forty years. Then if needed it can be fully recycled. No wonder PVC Windows and Doors are listed as preferred building products by “Sustainability Victoria”®. Inframe® is a member of the AWA (Australian Window Association) and HIA (Housing Industry Association).
NATA approved laboratory tested our range and very high performance levels were achieved. (N5 standard, N6 if required for awning and casement) Currently energy ratings are being undertaken using a variety of different glazing options to ensure best possible ratings for both cooling and heating. Our range complies with the Australian Standard and/or European Standard and/or American Standard..

Why U-PVC
recommendations
U-factor Windows: U=0.40 or less The larger your heating bill, the more important a low U-factor becomes. Generally the lower the U-value the more you save!A low U-factor is also helpful during hot days when it is important to keep the heat out, but it is less important than SHGC in warm climates. In northern Areas select windows with a U-factor lower than 0.65 and preferably lower than 0.60.

solar heat gain coefficient (SHGC) Windows: SHGC=0.55 or less
If you have significant air conditioning costs or summer overheating problems, look for SHGC values of 0.40 or less. If you have moderate air conditioning requirements, select windows with a SHGC of 0.55 or less. While windows with lower SHGC values reduce summer cooling and overheating, they also reduce free winter solar heat gain.

Visible Transmittance (VT) Windows: VT=No Requirement

Select windows with a higher VT to maximize daylight and view in southern states. Select windows with a SHGC of less than 0.40 in northern states. A low SHGC is the most important window property in warm climates.

Air Leakage (AL) Windows: AL=No Requirement

Select windows with an AL of 0.30 or less. Obviously the higher air leakage the more this reduces the thermal properties of the window for heating or cooling. Also higher air leakage dramatically effects noise transmissions entering from outside!

WERS energy ratings

2009 WERS Certified Products Directory - AFRC NOTES 1. Uw is the whole window U-value 2. SHGCw is the whole window solar heat gain coefficient 3. Tvw is the whole window visible (light) transmittance 4. Percentage improvement figures are compared with using base-case Generic Window 1 (3mm clear in standard aluminium frame) 5. A negative percentage improvement figure indicates performance worse than the base-case window 6. A positive percentage improvement figure indicates performance better than the base-case window 7. Maximum air infiltration is 5.0L/s.m2 at a positive pressure difference of 75 Pa as measured according to AS 2047 8. Static performance (Uw SHGCw Tvw Tdw) calculated using Window 5.2 and Therm 5.2 software (LBNL), 2000-2003 9. Annual energy performance (stars and % improvements) calculated using Nationwide House Energy Rating Software (AccuRate) according to procedures of WERS 2008. 10. Results disclosed at National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC) regulations.
